The Common Projects Duck Boot is part Duck Boot and part military boot (in my opinion). Honestly, without seeing the hybrid before my eyes I wouldn't have believed it. When I think of Duck Boots I tend to think of more of a preppy attire juxtapose to military boots trendy attire. I must say that I think it made for a fun mix, that can be worn while being preppy or trendy. The boots are made of polished leather with a contrasting pebble leather from Italy.

Reebok Classics x Swizz Beatz "Reethym of Life" Campaign Launch Party.

In a flash of lights and neon signs, Swizz Beatz’s “Reethym of Lite” was an elaborate spectacle, which took place Tuesday July 19, 2011 in New York City. Hennessey Black was at every bar, and, though club “Espace” was very intimate, the guest list was a mile long. The carpet included a stacked roster of celebs: Pharell, Nore, Maino, Lloyd Banks, Nneka, Diddy, Busta Rhymes and of course Beyonce & Jay, and Swizz’s wife, Ms. Alicia Keys. Nice.

Swizz Beatz, a super producer and super philanthropist, had in mind to configure the most creative way of fostering the new Reebok campaign, an all-out cultural revolution! International rebel singer, “Nneka”, who lives in Nigeria, was in the house, and said that she couldn’t imagine anywhere else she would want to be than at the event. She mentioned missing a plane back to Lagos to stay in NYC to go to the exclusive midtown Event, “I’m here to see Swizz and lend my support.”

Plenty of pretty people and swagger enthusiasts hovered the “Shoe Wall” which featured Swizz’s latest kicks and varsity jacket. “Every color of sneaker on the wall represents something different, something cool”, commented a fashion-forward fan.

In fact, every wall, every shelf, and every booth in Espace had a fresh pair of kicks on display. It was like confectionary factory, where Swizz was a real life Wonka. Purple, Blue, Pink, Yellow, sneakers for days and years.

The only music that was bumped all night was old school Hip-Hop, something that everyone in the house was able to sing and sway to. And when the A Tribe Called Quest song “Electric Relaxation” hit, everyone yelled the lyrics aloud. But, the house went absolutely nuts when Swizz hit the stage with new cuts never heard before.

The unveiling of Reethym of Lite Brand is set to shake up the world of fashion, injecting an international zeal that will no doubt turn the outerwear universe on it’s ear, and Espace in Times Square was the first space shuttle.

As I was browsing one of my favorite blogs I ran into these Louis Vuitton Nevada Derby boat shoe/moccasin style shoes. At first glance I must admit I wasn't that interested in them. After looking at them for a little while I started to really like them, in particular the low boat shoe version. Louis Vuitton kept the shoes simple by only embossing the Louis Vuitton checkerboard pattern on the top of the shoe. This was a nice touch to keep the shoe less gaudy and more classic.

The SHAOLIN JAZZ - Album Cover Design Contest is a month long competition (Wednesday July 6th - Monday August 8th), whereby participants can submit designs or "graphic remixes" of the album cover with the winner receiving footwear courtesy of VANS OTW and apparel courtesy of Staple Design. Porcelain - The last material I would have thought to be used to create the exterior of a car, but it has been done. Bugatti took its already Veyron model and teamed up with Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin to create the Veyron L'Or Blanc Porcelain (L'Or Blanc means white gold). The car is truly work of art. So my new obsession has to be the Knockaround Sunglasses (@knockaround). You ask why? Well let me tell you! For one thing, I love wearing sunglasses however, I tend to misplace them pretty easily. The reason why I like Knockaround so much is because they are sturdy quality sunglasses but at a price point of $14! That beats the little sunglass stations on side of the street (New Yorkers you know what I'm talking about). Also, the frames and lens come in all types of colors. Music: 4 I My Thoughts, Not a Review.

Where to I start???

First, can I say this "4" journey has been a long crazy one for Mrs. Carter and her supporters. With a lot of the public not responding well to the release of "Run the World (Girls)" and letting that over shadow her follow up single, "Best Thing I Never Had", people were beginning to become a little worried about projected record sales. Well, those worries came crashing down! 8 hours after being released in the U.S. on itunes Beyonce's "4" shot to #1 on the charts. Adding to the glory, she also rose to #1 in 23 countries across the globe. Can we say AMAZING?/!

Ok, here are my thoughts on the Queen's a.k.a King B these days (I feel you) album. When I first heard it I instantly fell in love but wasn't sure if it was her best work. The mixture of sounds, and absence of interludes and outerludes to help transition the songs made it a little hard to digest at first. However, once I stepped back and remembered that her theme for this album was to do a gumbo of music it began to make more sense. The quality of the songs also made the conceptualizing process easy. I've always been a supporter of Destiny's Child but didn't officially hop on the Bey train until B-Day. But since then I've gone back and listened to all her work and was a passenger on her plane for "I Am Sasha". Being able to have been apart of her artistic progression, liking and loving it all, while being able to understand the views of those who didn't, I can safely say this is her best work to date. Most know Bey has R&B roots, but then ventured off into pop (that's when a lot of doubters began to talk). She has successfully created trendy, instant hits, such as: "Check Up on It", "Video Phone", "Get Me Bodied", anthems like, "Irreplaceable" and dropped a few classics like, "Halo", "Flaws and All", "Single Ladies" and "Crazy In Love". But now she has found her sweet spot. This album marks Mrs. Carter successfully etching her unique sound and lane. This album has a song for each of her supporters and what they loved about her and will love about her. There are trendy hits, anthems, classics and even music that will get our parents jamming. When she said she wanted to make a gumbo, she did just that.

This album should officially make all the doubters of her artistry into believers. "4" has awarded her certified musical artist status. For me personally, I've always known a music artist was in her but I just wanted a song that I call a "soul shaker" to officially place her on the page with the greats and finally she did! After teaming up with MEGA song writer Diane Warren, who has wrote songs for greats like Celine Dion, Aerosmith, and Mariah Carey, they created the masterpiece "I Was Here"! This song represents my life's dream and desire. I think everyone who has aspiration to live a life that leaves an impact will appreciate it. I invite you to buy it and listen to the lyrics, track, and how Beyonce's vocals come together to create a story that is sure to stain your mind.

Although the album deserves a straight play through, personal highlights include, "I Care", "I Miss You", "End of Time", "I Was Here", "Schoolin' Life" and "Dance For You".

Tribute to Honour | World's Most Expensive Scotch Whisky | You Won't Believe How Much!

"Timing is everything and the timing couldn't have been better this past weekend for the launch of the latest brand made by Royal Salute, the award-winning Scotch whisky company with roots deeply tied to the British Royal family. Royal Salute was created by parent company Chivas Regal in 1953 as a tribute to the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

Indeed, the launch this past weekend in London of Royal Salute's Tribute to Honour, considered to be the most expensive, luxurious Scotch whisky ever made, concurred during the same weekend as many important festivities celebrating the royal family - from Prince Phillip's 90th birthday and the new title of Lord High Admiral which was bestowed upon him by Queen Elizabeth II to the anniversary of the Queen's coronation. Topping off the weekend was the historic Sentebale Polo Cup, sponsored by Royal Salute, in which HRH Prince Harry played against his brother, HRH Prince William, also known as the Duke of Cambridge.

At a retail price of $200,000 per bottle, and with only 21 bottles made, the limited edition Scotch whisky pays special tribute to the Honours of Scotland, which are the Scottish Crown Jewels and the oldest crown jewels of the British Isles. "This has been almost three years in the making," says Neil Macdonald, Royal Salute's Global Brand Director (seen above). "It is not like a commercial extension as such - it is a labor of love. This is the richest, rarest whisky and we needed a worthy way of presenting it."

To create the bottle for the luxury Scotch whisky, Royal Salute turned to Stephen Webster, world-renowned jewelry designer and Creative Director of Garrard, the oldest royal jeweler, which was founded 275 years ago. Once a design was settled upon, each bottle was painstakingly decorated with more than 22 carats of flawless black and white diamonds (413 diamonds in total).

The diamonds were handset individually in gold and silver - with a design that depicts the three symbols of Scottish power - the Sceptre, the Sword and the Crown. The manufacturing process of the opulent black porcelain vessels was a complicated one as aeronautical engineers were consulted so that it would be possible to adorn each one with jewels. French porcelain maker Revol needed to produce 400 bottles to find 21 perfect examples, according to Macdonald.

The Scotch whisky was blended by Royal Salute's master blender, Colin Scott (seen to the right with Stephen Webster), who used only the most exquisite, precious and scarce whiskies, all aged for a minimum of 45 years, which were found in the Royal Salute Vault at Strathisla. The Scotch whisky blend is so rare - only Scott has actually tasted it - that nearly all of it was used to fill the 21 bottles.

Only a token amount was left over to create sample sizes that will be distributed to the collectors around the world who buy the 21 bottles. "To represent the enthralling past we have in Scotland, I had to think about creating a whisky that would reflect all that honor, richness, history and heritage," Scott says.

Fortunately, Royal Salute has a long history of setting aside casks of its finest whisky each year, including the 45-year-old malt and grain whiskies that Scott used to blend the few precious liters of whisky found in the limited edition bottles.

"This is a Scotch whisky in a presentation that is truly worthy of royal accolade," adds Scott. "Behind this sumptuous presentation, there is this great craftsmanship that reflects the Honours of Scotland, that reflects Garrard, the oldest jeweler in the world and it reflects the craftsmanship of Royal Salute."

The launch of Royal Salute's Tribute to Honour brand began with a cocktail party on the terrace of the Ritz Hotel in London, followed by a sumptuous luncheon. During the cocktail hour, the Traditional Royal Air Force fly-past could be seen (and heard) during the Trooping the Colour parade going on at nearby Buckingham Palace. After lunch, the first Royal Salute Tribute to Honor bottle was unveiled for the press at Garrard in the very room where Queen Mary was fitted with her royal coronation crown in 1911.

That evening, a black-tie dinner befitting a queen hosted by Royal Salute and its brand ambassador, the Duke of Argyle, was held in the Grand Hall within the historic One Mayfair. The bottle was officially unveiled before a spectacular setting (seen to the right). After dessert, guests were invited to blend two single malts selected by Scott, which closely depicts the rare whisky found in the limited edition. Indeed, the Tribute to Honour blend is so limited that there isn't enough of it for it to be tasted by non-buyers.

On Sunday, Royal Salute sponsored the Sentebale Polo Cup on the grounds of Coworth Park Ascot in Berkshire. Founded by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, Sentebale helps the neediest and most vulnerable people in Lesotho, specifically children who are HIV positive and orphans. Prince Harry played against his older brother, Prince William, whose team was raising money for his own charity, the Tusk Trust, which protects African wildlife.

Prince William's team prevailed with a score of 1-0 in a closely fought contest. A dinner followed the polo match where Prince Harry delivered a moving speech about his charity. "Weve helped hundreds of children, giving them hope and health, where there was none," the prince said. "But there is far more we can do for them.""

1. Eat small meals and eat more often. The larger the meal, the more metabolic heat your body creates breaking down the food. Avoid foods that are high in protein, which increase metabolic heat.

2. Run your wrists under a cold tap for five seconds each every couple of hours. Because a main vein passes through this area, it helps cool the blood.

3. Eat spicy food. Although this may be the last thing you fancy in hot weather, curries and chillies can stimulate heat receptors in the mouth, enhance circulation and cause sweating, which cools the body down.

4. Take a tepid bath or shower just below body temperature, especially before bedtime. Although a cold shower might sound more tempting, your body generates heat afterwards to compensate for the heat loss.

5. Wear lightweight, light-colored cotton clothes. Heat is trapped by synthetic fibres, but cotton absorbs perspiration and its evaporation causes you to feel cooler. The light colours reflect the sun's radiation.

6. While you're out, keep the house curtains drawn to stop it heating up like a greenhouse.

7. You may be longing for a cold beer or a chilled white wine spritzer. But you should avoid alcohol because it dehydrates the body. You are better off with mineral water or low-sugar fizzy drinks. Also, avoid drinks with caffeine such as coffee and colas. These increase the metabolic heat in the body.

8. Replace your usual body moisturizer with a cooling aloe vera aftersun product to use morning and night. This will help lower your skin temperature.

9. Slow down and avoid strenuous activity which will stimulate your body and raise its core temperature. If you must go jogging, do it during the coolest part of the day, which is usually before 7am.

10. Sleep on a feather or down pillow with a cotton pillowcase. Synthetic pillows will retain heat.

11. The night before you go out for the day in the sun, roll some damp towels up and pop them in the freezer. Take them with you in a plastic bag. Then, when you start to feel hot, unwrap them and place them over your face.

12. Ditch your duvet and sleep under a sheet instead. Even better, put your sheets in a plastic bag and stick them in the fridge a couple of hours before going to bed. As we fall asleep our body temperature lowers, which is why it's difficult to sleep in hot weather. Cold sheets straight from the fridge should help you sleep better.

13. Enjoy life! Run through a sprinkler!

Michael Bastian was honored as Menswear Designer of the Year during last night’s CFDA Awards held at the Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York. 2011 is the 4th consecutive year that the Council of Fashion Designers of America has nominated him for the fashion industry’s equivalent of the Oscars. Michael Bastian launched his own menswear line MICHAEL BASTIAN in 2006, and in fall 2010, he entered into a long-term collaboration with GANT for his GANT by Michael Bastian line for men and women.

It was this experience that led Bastian to launch in 2006 his own men’s wear line. The line, produced under a licensing agreement by the Italian company Brunello Cucinelli, is now carried in over 50 retail locations in America, Canada, Japan, Europe, and the Middle East. The licensing agreement with Cucinelli was terminated the end of 2010. In Fall 2010 a new special collaboration was launched, GANT by Michael Bastian, which has expanded to offer womenswear for Sprint 2011. This collection is widely distributed in over 60 countries worldwide, in both GANT stores and independent specialty retailers. In April 2011 Michael Bastian launched a collaboration with Havaianas, under the name Havaianas + Michael Bastian with 4 Limited Edition styles designed for the Spring '11 Collection. Kanye West Currently Designing His First Full Fashion Collection in Paris.

According to UK publication, The Telegraph, the fashion-conscious rapper, Kanye West, is getting ready to show his first full Men’s and Women’s collections this Fall.

Kanye West is currently working on the high-end collections in a studio in Central Paris, the paper quotes a source.

Just last year, he had told Elle: “Did you not see the Lindsay [Lohan] and Ungaro collection? That was 9/11 for celebrities doing fashion. After that I thought: ‘Well I can’t do a line now’.”

Kanye has already released a collection of luxury scarves with design collective M/M Paris last month. Following his collaborations with Louis Vuitton and internship at the GAP.

Yesterday as I was walking by the Cole Haan (@colehaaninsider) store on 5th Ave I noticed these beauties in the window. At first glance, I thought they were quite interesting looking, I wasn't sure if I really like them until I went in for a closer look. The reason why I like this shoe is because its a great combination of three styles: Canvas shoe, Leather Sneaker and Espadrilles.

I placed the photo on my Twitter account (@Phaon) and Facebook to get feedback. I wasn't too surprised that everything thought the same as I. They are great looking shoes, perfect for Spring/Summer.

Wayne is weighing in as another anticipated artist for a summer album release. So far he has released singles "6 ft" ft Corey Guns, "John" ft Rick Ross and has now followed up with a different angle on his latest song "How to Love''. Although a few rap lovers question his credentials to be considered one of the best rappers alive, it seems like most are agreeing this new sound on "How to Love" is #winning. I am definitely a Wayne head!

Is it me or does it seems like the women of R&B and POP are dominating the air waves right now? Well, feisty princess Rihanna debuted her 5th release/single and video off the album "Loud" titled "Man Down". I have the album and it's really good. "Man Down" is by far the best song on the album and it's so good I'm not sure any type of visual would do this song any justice. Before seeing the video I was excited, but after watching I wasn't happy with the finished product. It's good but again, I wonder if this song should have stayed as a jewel for the listener alone.

Following up, next she debut an instant love classic titled 1+1 that was written and composed by Tricky Stewart and The Dream. Although fans and stans alike, went crazy of the powerhouse song, it was not released as an official single. Instead, it was said to be a gift for those who pre-ordered the album on iTunes. And now, today, she debuted her official second single from the album 4 titled "The Best Thing I've Never Had". I will tell you this, Although I'm a ground man, I a proud

supporter of the Carters and Beyonce. In my most honest and unbiased opinion, every song released from this album thus far has been good at the very least. I hope I'm not to speaking too soon when I say I think this might be her best work to date. Ok, let's just wait till June 28th for the actual album release. Event Review: Jessica White's Angel Wings Foundation Benefit for UNICEF (Hamptons).

Daniel and I were at it again! This time we dined with Jessica White, Shontelle and Chris Collins at Georgica's (East Hampton) for Jessica White's Angel Wings Foundation Benefit for UNICEF. I had the filet mignon, which was EXCELLENT. The Blue & Cream After-party hosted by Jus Ske and DJ Phresh was JUMPING! Read Daniel's point of view below:

After hanging out with Estelle (@EstelleDarlings) and Tika Sumpter (@iamtikasumpter) we gathered for dinner and drinks at Georgica. We parked our car across the street and surprisingly enough we ran into Chris Collins (@ChrisCollinsNYC), who we immediately recognized from the Polo Ralph Lauren ads. We exchanged a few words and realized that the street was heavily trafficked and we were not able to cross so without thinking twice Chris had us hop into his black Range Rover and we pulled right into the scene as we were blasting 1901 by Phoenix.

I realized the summer is just upon us, this was the real kick off party. An amazing weather, in an amazing venue, full of inspiring people. The night was hosted by the one and only, Jessica White (@IAmJessWhite), this was the second annual “Angel Wing Foundation” Dinner benefiting UNICEF’s “City of Joy Project,”

At the event I blended Shontelle (@Shontelle_Layne) -- I asked about her inspiration, the dedication for her fans, and her Kat Von D tattoo, her involvement with UNICEF -- she told me with a lot of passion about her work during the Pakistan Flooding -- Shontelle also revealed she will be performing tonight. Three acoustic songs to be exact. She performed T-Shirt, Impossible and her new hit song ‘Say Hello to Goodbye‘.
Wow, Shontelle was hot. She even teased us with the song which she co-wrote with Rihanna, ‘Man Down‘.

Event Review: Hamptons Magazine Annual Memorial Day Celebration Hosted by Chelsea Handler.

On May 29, 2011 I had the privilege of attending the Hamptons Magazine Annual Memorial Day Party with Daniel Haim (@danielhaim) from Bloginity.com (@bloginity). The event, which was held at the Southampton Social Club, was sponsored by Belvedere (@belvederevodka) and Lacoste (@lacoste).

This event was one of the premiere events that was talked about around town and it certainly lived up to the title. When Daniel and I arrived we immediately saw the step and repeat banner to the left with several photographers clamoring to get an opportunity to take a photo of the celebrities that attended. We were then greeted by three cocktail waitresses holding platters of peach bellinis. As we turned the corner we noticed the Lacoste gifting suite (#winning). And when I say gifting suite, that it was! Guests of the event were able to grab a cap, watch and flip flops. See my bag below!

We then sat down and enjoyed the sounds of DJ Issy. We were waiting for the crowd to pick. As we were waiting we met two journalist, Shaina and Angeli (@Angelikakde), very cool! Out of no where James Lipton (host of the Inside the Actors Studio) took a seat next to me! I am a complete nerd for that show. He was very pleasant.

About 30 minutes later it seemed as if I blinked and there was a crowd. The guest we are dressed in Hamptons style: polos, chinos, ribbon belts, blazers & sun dresses. Beautiful crowd, if I must say so.

At this point we were up walking around and mingling with the guests. Then I saw Estelle (@EstelleDarlings) and Tika Sumpter (@iamtikasumpter). Dan and I went over to chat with them. AMAZING women! We had a great time just conversing with them. After hanging out with them we partied for a little while longer then left to the next party, Jessica White's Angels Foundation Benefit Dinner for UNICEF.

Hotelier, Andre Balazs, sets to expand his chain by offering the public a free shuttle service on his seaplane, StndAir, to the Hamptons. Andre Balazs is known for the famed Standard Hotels.

Sounds sweet, right? The seaplane will transport the "cool crowd" from 23rd Seaport on the Eastside of Manhattan to East Hampton Airport. If that is not enough, he will allow travelers to charter the plane to Nantucket, The Hamptons and Martha's Vineyard.

Goal: Make sure you are apart of the "Cool Crowd"!

GILT Groupe Gets Fresh with New Online Luxury Food Store.

A new online artisanal food market helmed by former Gourmet magazine editor and prolific food writer Ruth Reichl has launched for the deep-pocketed foodie gourmet.

After much hype, Gilt Taste launched Wednesday with a welcome message from Reichl and a virtual store stocked with premium, artisanal seafood, meats and other specialty items normally only accessible to professional chefs and restaurateurs.

And like all top-of-the-line products, they also come with a premium price tag.

A four set of 10 oz (280 gm) American Wagyu steaks from Mishima Ranch in northern California, for example, carries a price tag of $199.

Cheese lovers for whom there is no price too high for a savory, runny cheese can order an assortment platter that includes Camembert, cave-aged Gruyère, chèvre, Gorgonzola and Manchego from Murray’s Cheese in New York. Its price tag is $145.

And a caviar package of American Paddlefish eggs, blinis, crème fraiche and mother of pearl spoons cost $222.

For the cook who likes their kitchen toys, the equipment section also offers items like caviar sets (to go with that $222 set you just bought) for $64.

The site also features original recipes from chefs, experts and food writers like Melissa Clark, a food columnist for The New York Times and cookbook author, and Francis Lam, poached from Salon.com where he was a popular food writer.

Wednesday’s launch includes an essay by Barry Estabrook on the impact of fracking, a process for drilling natural gas, on food supplies, and new ways to cook asparagus.

At the moment, foods can only be shipped within the US. Gilt Taste is the food version of Gilt Groupe, a virtual luxury retail store that offers deep discounts on high-end fashion brands.

The food site also offers weekly specials for members who register.

The people at Gilt Taste aren’t the first to come up with the idea of creating an online marketplace for artisanal products.

Foodzie.com was also built on the premise of hosting purveyors of passionate food producers and growers. They’ve been featured in O, Oprah Winfrey’s magazine, and The New York Times.

Uniqlo x Lady Gaga x Karl Lagerfeld and More Team Up For Japan Relief.

One of Japan's largest retailers, Uniqlo, teamed up with with celebs to create one of a kind t-shirts for Japan's relief from the earthquake and tsunami.

Celebrities on board: Lady Gaga, Karl Lagerfeld, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Kidman, Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz, Blake Lively, Charlize Theron, Cyndi Lauper, Victoria Beckham, and Orlando Bloom.

Uniqlo's CEO, Tadashi Yanai, is no stranger to giving as he has already provided $12 million to the relief. In hopes of raising more money the t-shirts will be priced at $19.90 each, all proceeds will go to Japanese Red Cross.

You will never be without a clean and pressed button down again! Here it goes:

The optimal number for this to work is to have at minimum 12 button shirts.
Drop off all 12 button downs at your favorite cleaners to be cleaned and pressed
When you go to pick them back up on Sunday only take 6 shirts (5 for the weekday and 1 just in case for the weekend)
After the week is done, return back to the cleaners and drop off the 6 (or 5, depending) at the cleaners and pick up the other.

This is a simple guide to making sure that you as a gentleman will always be prepared. Preparation is key to your personal and your business life.

Gant has produced a short tutorial video called "New Haven Math Club" for its Pre-Fall 2011 Collection. The video is a take on the 1950's safety instructional videos.

The collection looks as if it is taken directly out of the 1950s, however still current. If any knows me, they know that I am a fan of the style of dress in the 40' & 50's. I think the look is classic and paired properly with trendy pieces it can make for a nice look.

Aston Martin x Zagato Latest Collaboration | V12 Zagato.

Unveiled first in Italy, the latest collaboration between Aston Martin and Zagato, the V12 Zagato. The V12 Zagato is an interpretation of the Aston Martin's V12 Vantage. The car holds a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 380 kW (510bhp), set to be tested at Germany’s famous Nurburgring Circuit this month, with a view to entering two cars at a 24-hour race on June 25-26.

For this reason, the new model has also been fitted with a 120 liter endurance racing fuel tank, although as performance claims haven’t been made yet it’s hard to know if this will affect the vehicle’s capabilities.

The first Zagato premiered in 1960 and was based on the DB4 GT, beginning a series of models which included the V8 Zagato, the DB7 Zagato and the DB AR1.
