Purpose

Have you ever thought about your PURPOSE?

Purpose is what people long for, they want to know what is there purpose on earth, because everybody has a purpose. I have found my purpose and I'm actually fufilling my purpose. My purpose is to be in the entertainment industry. I came to this conclusion by:

1. Asking the Lord for guidance
2. Praying
3. Having a PASSION for it.
4. Having opportunities practically thrown at me.
5. Going to D.A.W.N Chrisitan Fellowship in Brooklyn, NY (Cheap Plug-In)

Well here is a brief synaposis. I was going to school to become a Doctor of Pharmacy (How boring, lol). But, after completeing my 2 years of pre-pharmacy I transferred to Texas Southern Univeristy to start my pharmacy orientation. Well during all this, I was introduced to the acting field by one of my good friends Corey Brown. While at TSU I noticed Pharmacy was not for me, its too boring. So, I decided to move back home and complete school with a biology degree and pursue my acting career. I started getting jobs left and right, I was working every week on projects! It was GREAT! It was like a natural high. I met so many different wonderful people while working on these movies. That lead me to start working on plays, because you know you can't have a good career if you dont have a good foundation. I even got a job in Brooklyn, NY where I had the lead role in a play called "One Hour to Live" I loved it, it was one of the BEST experiences of my life.

So while all this was happening me and my good friend Vince decided that we wanted to open a Marketing Company. I was all for that, I love promotions and marketing. So we started wprking on our plan, it took us almost a YEAR to get everything off the ground. But now things are rolling. It takes time for things to cultivate but if you stand with it, I promise you it will be worth it.

Then recently I received a job at DEF JAM, can you believe that DEF JAM!!! I was so HAPPY when I got the job. Im working in the Youth Lifestyle/College Promotions Dept. Its great I get to do what I like to do. I plan listening parties, concerts, autograph sessions, promotion campaigns, all that good stuff.

Now Im not bragging on what I did or what I do, IM JUST SAYING, YOU CAN DO THE SAME TO!! This is just only the start for me. Opportunities are boundless, they are out there for you to seek and hold on to. Sometimes you may have to work for free sometimes, do something out of the kindness of your heart, or give something, but you will be rewarded from it.
