The Pea Coat.

The Peacoat

A pea coat (or pea jacket, pilot jacket) is an outer coat, generally of a navy-colored heavy wool originally worn by sailors of European navies.Pea coats are characterized by broad lapels, double-breasted fronts, often large wooden or metal buttons, and vertical or slash pockets.Although it first appeared in the early 19th century, modern renditions still maintain the original design and composition. -Wikipedia

By far this is one of my favorite coats. As the weather gets cooler you will need to dress appropiately, a nice traditional wool peacoat will do the trick. I would stick with the tradional black, navy or grey, I'm a traditionalist in that aspect. I think other colors gets to cartoonish and the pea coat loses its character.
