"After exactly 10 years of bringing designer labels to the ladies, Net-a-Porter has announced that it's launching a little somethin' somethin' for the menfolk -- a menswear site called Mr. Porter.
Set to launch in January (or February), the dedicated men's site will kick things off with a nicely curated mix of Spring/Summer 2011 pieces from Rick Owens, Lanvin, MR by Roland Mouret, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Balmain, Margiela, Dunhill, John Lobb and Margaret Howell, according to a company press release.
Roughly 60 menswear brands will reportedly be featured on the site, which will also feature editorial content, style advice and same-day deliveries in London and New York City.
"This is an incredibly exciting new venture for us and one we have been planning for some time," founder Natalie Massenet says in a press statement.
"We have always said that Net-A-Porter will remain a woman's brand and now we are ready to create a dedicated men's shopping destination entirely conceived with the stylish man in mind.
"We have a ready-made customer base for our men's business. 100% of Net-A-Porter customers have a man in their lives in some capacity and 59% of them are married or living with their partners.
"3 million unique users trust and love Net-A-Porter's service and will be invited to make a purchase for the men in their lives," Massenet adds."-Stylelist.com
