Essence Music Festival took place July 3-5, 2009. This is a time when people from all over the country, including stars, to listen to an array of music. Artist such as Beyonce, Maxwell, Ne-Yo, John Legend, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Salt n Pepa and more grace the New Orleans Superdome on those three days.Friday I had floor seats. Salt n Pepa, Neyo, John Legend and Beyonce perfomed. They tore the stage up! AMAZING!! Sitting in my area was Chris Carter, Omarosa , Ne Ne Leakes, and David Mann from Meet The Browns. Also, John Legend walked passed my area to goto the stage.
On Saturday I was in a Super Dome Suite. Now this was VERY nice!! Free Food, Drinks, Plush seating...Very Luxurious. Jasmine Sullivan, Robin Thicke, Anita Baker and Maxwell performed. Anita Baker was great. That lady seems to never age, and her voice is still beautiful. Maxwell took the stage of an hour late, but it was well worth it. He did an AMAZING job!! Of course he 'SANGED' my song, Pretty Wings.
