TMNK Urban Modernism Opening Exhibition

On Thursday Feburary 10, 2011 I had the opportunity to attend Modern Urbanisms at the 351 Bowery Gallery Space. Modern Urbanisms is a pop-up show, curated by Ashley Young, featuring the work of New York based street artist TMNK (The Me Nobody Knows aka NOBODY).

NOBODY defines "Modern Urbanisms" as the "isms" of our time, the thoughts and expressions that define our society and its philosophy. These are the little messages seen in the streets, the tiny voices written on the wall, the creative contributions that are seldom recorded in the pages of history.

The event was sponsored by Ceilee Sitt, VIBE Magazine, Hennesy, Edeyo, Depalma Enterprises and Hotel Gansevoort.

Adidas Originals Denim x Jeremy Scott Launch

After leaving the TMNK event I ventured over to the Adidas store in the SoHo area of NYC. Adidas launched their New Originals Denim Collection as well as launching the new pieces from the Jeremy Scott collaboration. The Teddy Bear and the Flaming Wings were selling out like crazy. There was only a limited amount made available.
